Stand Seafood Expo Global 2023 for Medimar
Medimar imports and exports frozen seafood. The company was exhibiting at Seafood Expo Global, the sector’s international trade fair, held at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via. The brief was to resolve a corner plot, open on two sides, with a stand recognisable from the aisle that could host commercial meetings and display chilled product at the same time.
A corporate wave that structures the space
The brand graphic, a blue wave on white, becomes the element that organises the build. The curve starts at the corner tower, runs across the front and finishes the rear wall in a large blue field framing the logo inside a circular medallion. The double-sided tower works as a visual landmark and closes the storeroom volume. All panels are lacquered melamine in blue and white, with clean edges. Lighting combines surface-mounted projectors along the top of the walls with LED wall washers that graze the rear wall, so the graphic still reads under the hall’s general lighting.
Chilled product and meeting areas
Product is shown in two ways. On the rear wall, a set of die-cut circles with large-format photography displays squid rings, fillets and frozen cephalopods. At the opposite end, a glass-lid chest display freezer, built into a timber-clad volume, allows goods to be shown right at the aisle. The centre of the stand stays clear for commercial work: round tables with beech tops on black pedestal bases and shell chairs with wooden legs, plus a blue counter with high stools under natural-fibre pendant lamps hung from a timber beam. Light oak laminate decking marks out the enclosure against the fair’s carpet.
